Cassileux is known only through the duties attached to her name, a faint trace of a person in the machinery of law. The little we learn leaves her more absence than portrait.

Cassileux was a real constable who died during a raid on the Nomad Gang sixteen months before the events of the book. Her identity was later used by the kandra LeeMar, allowing the dead woman’s name to move through the world in another’s guise.
Description
The book provides no reliable description of Cassileux’s appearance. Her age, build, coloring, hair, eyes, facial features, and clothing are unspecified; any portrait beyond a generic constable’s uniform would be conjecture.
