Cycle first appears in The Lost Metal as a Hemalurgically spiked lieutenant of the Set, a rugged, powerfully built man whose body can swell to enormous proportions when he draws on his stolen abilities. His role is that of a brutal field commander and weapons-smuggler whose red-glowing eyes mark him as Trell’s chosen agent. Over the course of the novel he shifts from shadowy operative to direct antagonist, culminating in a violent showdown with Marasi Colms that ends with his defeat and the removal of his spikes.
