Dae-oh emerges from the shadows of the Mistborn Saga as a figure whose name first surfaces in coded communications during the events of The Lost Metal, marking them as a peripheral yet potentially significant player in the larger machinations of the series. Initially appearing only as a cryptic reference in book 4, Dae-oh's role expands slightly in book 7 when Kelsier explicitly instructs Kaise to involve them in message transmission, suggesting a growing operational importance. Despite their limited textual presence, Dae-oh represents the unseen network of agents and operatives that Kelsier relies upon, embodying the hidden infrastructure of rebellion and communication that underpins the saga's climactic confrontations.
