Lessie’s story is told through the mark her absence leaves on Wax: her return and death reopen a wound that had never truly healed. Her memory also touches Wayne, who keeps a watch she gave him, while Telsin remains unaware of what Lessie meant to Wax. By the end, Wax imagines her watching over him, perhaps sent by Harmony—a final, uncertain comfort shaped by grief.
