Melend Liese
Also known as Lord Liese, Liese
- Minor
- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 18
Melend Liese has the tender awkwardness of someone trying very hard to get every step right; a blush comes easily, and his attention stays fixed on the dance. There is something quietly endearing in his earnestness, as though the glittering room is a little too much to take in at once.

Melend Liese appears as a young nobleman, younger than Elend and closer in age to Vin. At a ball, he dances with her, blushing easily and concentrating on the steps rather than the wider spectacle. The book gives no further account of his role or fate.
