Pewter Gate stands as one of Luthadel's primary defensive portals, its name and function unchanged from its first mention in The Well of Ascension. Throughout the series, it remains a silent sentinel of the city’s fortifications, witnessing the transition from the Final Empire’s fall to the rise of Elend’s new government. Though never the site of dramatic individual scenes, its steadfast presence underscores the enduring need for walls even as political power shifts dramatically around it.
