The Set Factory emerges in the Wax and Wayne era as a covert industrial stronghold of the shadowy Set organization, its weathered brick exterior masking a labyrinth of storage chambers, washbasins, and a hidden theater room outfitted with projection equipment. Across the series, the factory evolves from a mere logistical hub into a critical node in the Set’s technological and criminal operations, its red electric bulbs and boarded windows symbolizing the clandestine nature of its activities. By the time of The Lost Metal, the factory stands as a tangible emblem of the Set’s reach into Elendel’s infrastructure, its transformation from an abandoned industrial relic to a fortified base underscoring the escalating stakes of the conflict between lawkeepers and the shadowy cabal.
