Urteau begins as a distant northern stronghold of House Venture, its cold-climate architecture and strategic importance only hinted at in The Well of Ascension. By The Hero of Ages, the city transforms into a crucible of rebellion and revelation, its streets echoing with the clash of skaa uprising and the unraveling of Ruin’s influence. The once-proud Venture capital becomes a battleground where old allegiances fracture and new heroes rise amid ash-choked ruins.
