Allomantic Blue Lines begin as a precise, directional overlay that reveals every metallic source—including trace metals in blood—allowing Mistborn to perceive the world through a web of glowing vectors. By the time of The Lost Metal, the lines have evolved into a compensatory sensory system that can substitute for ordinary vision when sight is compromised, demonstrating how this fundamental Allomantic sense adapts to extreme circumstances across centuries. The progression underscores the deepening integration of Allomancy with human perception, transforming an analytical tool into a vital lifeline.
