The Preservation God Form first manifests in The Hero of Ages as a radiant, ethereal embodiment of the Shard’s stable power, appearing as a floating white-mist entity with enhanced perception and wispy tendrils that leak from a corpse. This form represents the final, physical expression of Preservation’s Investiture after the Shard’s original Vessel, Leras, dies, allowing the power to persist independently until a new Vessel claims it. Across the series, the God Form serves as both a transitional vessel for the Shard’s consciousness and a beacon of Preservation’s intent, bridging the gap between the Shard’s original holder and its eventual absorption by Harmony.
