Inquisitor Eye Spikes first appear as a terrifying, unexplained feature of the Steel Inquisitors in The Well of Ascension, their purpose and power left deliberately obscure. By The Hero of Ages, their true nature is revealed as Hemalurgic constructs—steel spikes driven through the eye sockets that grant the wearer both Ruin’s direct control and an enhanced Allomantic sight that perceives metal lines and color. The spikes become the physical embodiment of Ruin’s influence, turning the Inquisitors into living puppets whose very perception is warped by the dark god’s will.
