Koloss Swords

Koloss swords begin as the crude, oversized weapons of the koloss hordes that threaten Luthadel in The Well of Ascension, but their significance expands dramatically when Vin wields one against the Lord Ruler’s remnants and later when Elend discovers their Hemalurgic properties. Across subsequent volumes, these blades become symbols of both koloss savagery and the potential for control, as characters learn that the swords themselves carry the spikes that enslave their wielders. By the series’ end, koloss swords evolve from mere instruments of destruction into keys for understanding Hemalurgy, influencing both battlefield tactics and the metaphysical rules of the Metallic Arts.
