The Cylinder Zone emerges in Platform Decay as a sprawling, gravity-curved commercial nexus whose multilevel walkways and kiosks serve as both marketplace and covert transit hub. Over the course of the series it evolves from a simple transit stop into a nexus of intrigue, where Murderbot’s crew repeatedly stages clandestine meetings, data drops, and narrow escapes. Its shifting gravity and labyrinthine layout become a recurring metaphor for the characters’ precarious balance between corporate control and personal autonomy.
