The Open Reservoir first appears in Platform Decay as a utilitarian water feature adjacent to a transit station, serving as little more than a scenic backdrop for arriving passengers. Over the course of the series, it transforms from a passive environmental element into a critical strategic asset, repeatedly exploited for both escape and confrontation. Its open expanse and boat dock become recurring sites of high-stakes action, underscoring the series’ shift from confined corporate spaces to unpredictable natural and semi-natural environments.
