The hover crane first appears in Fugitive Telemetry as a massive, multi-armed cargo-handling construct that Murderbot weaponizes by dropping it onto hostile forces. Its debut marks a shift from passive industrial equipment to an improvised battlefield tool, showcasing Murderbot’s tactical ingenuity. Across the series, the crane’s transformation from dock machinery to ad-hoc weapon underscores the recurring theme of repurposing corporate infrastructure for survival and resistance.
