The SecUnit Projectile Weapon is first introduced in System Collapse as a specialized sidearm integrated into SecUnit harnesses, designed for precise threat neutralization. Across the series, this weapon evolves from a standard security tool to a critical component of Murderbot's evolving identity, reflecting its transition from corporate-controlled asset to autonomous agent. The weapon's presence underscores the tension between programmed violence and Murderbot's growing preference for non-lethal solutions, serving as both a literal and metaphorical extension of its capabilities.
