- Major
- First seen · Book 1
A fit older man just into his sixtieth year with sun-darkened skin, silver hair that has thinned and a neatly trimmed mustache still showing traces of black. His strong jaw and well-defined cheekbones are etched with deep lines around the mouth and eyes. Brown eyes convey weary experience. He wears a dark-blue military uniform complete with silver powder-keg insignia, gold service stripes, red velvet accents, and medals, often topped with a bicorne hat.

Description
A human man with thinning hair, increasingly gray at the mustache, and thick jaw stubble when unshaven. He has dark circles under his eyes and a face described as bloodless after his ordeals; his chest bears numerous old sword and knife scars and three faded pink bullet scars. His right leg has been badly injured and is swollen during the surgical episode, leaving him dependent on a crutch or cane during recovery. His clothing varies from a blood-spattered jacket or uniform to a white shirt and blue soldier’s pants; later he wears a jacket and belt.
