Arria au Augustus
Also known as Arria

- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 18
Arria’s first impression is all softness and lively detail: a small girl framed by curls, with dimples that brighten her face. She has the kind of presence that makes even a brief moment feel intimate and vivid.

Arria au Augustus appears as a small, curl-haired girl, conversing with Antonia. Her presence is brief, and the text gives little sense of her inner life or wider history. The later account places her limp on a cold floor, a stark end to the book’s fleeting portrait of her.
Description
Arria is small, with a head of curling hair and dimples that give her face its clearest distinguishing quality. The text does not specify her skin tone, eye color, exact facial features, or clothing. Her overall appearance is youthful and soft, memorable chiefly for the contrast of lively curls and dimples with her slight stature.
