Red Rising Saga · Character
Grimmus
- Minor
- First seen · Book 4 · Ch. 45
Grimmus is associated with the cold symbolism of the Society: a crowned white skull enclosed in a pyramid, a stark image against the dark of space. The few glimpses of his presence suggest a figure who keeps himself apart, leaving his face and manner an unsettling blank.

Grimmus is linked to fleets that conceal themselves behind planets, their ships marked with the Society's crowned white skull within a pyramid. After an assassination attempt, he reigns in solitude for three years, cloistered on Gorgon Isle. Beyond this withdrawn rule, the text offers no physical portrait of him.
Description
The book gives no physical description of Grimmus, leaving his age, build, face, coloring, hair, eyes, and clothing unknown. The distinctive visual motif associated with his forces is a crowned white skull enclosed within a pyramid, painted on ships; it should not be mistaken for a personal feature.
