Icarus

Minor

His iridescent wings shimmer like captured starlight, the massive eagle head tilting with amber-eyed curiosity that feels ancient and wild. Larger than any beast you've known, he curls in moss with a low growl that vibrates the earth. Majesty and menace intertwined, he commands awe without a word.

Icarus, the majestic pet griffin of House Telemanus on Thraxa, debuts in Golden Son as a symbol of barbaric Gold opulence, lounging regally in a moss bed with iridescent wings enfolding his enormous form and a watchful amber eye. Though he remains untouched by the series' central conflicts, his presence infuses the au Telemanus domain with mythic grandeur, evoking the elite menageries of the Society's pinnacle. Across the Red Rising Saga, Icarus endures as a static yet captivating emblem of the Golds' extravagant dominion, with no further evolution chronicled in subsequent volumes.
