Mars begins as a mere heraldic symbol—the wolf banner of House Mars—yet by the end of the first volume it has already begun to transmute into something far more potent: a living emblem of rebellion. What starts as a scorched pennant flapping above the Institute’s battlefield becomes, across the saga, the rallying sigil of an entire rising. The wolf’s howl, once the private war-cry of a single House, echoes outward until it is synonymous with the Red rebellion itself.
