Seraphina au Raa begins as an eight-year-old Rim wild-child in Morning Star, a fleeting symbol of untamed innocence amid the Raa clan’s alliances. By Iron Gold she has matured into a lean, twenty-year-old warrior whose feral grace and scarred body mark her as a true daughter of Io; her fierce loyalty to the Rim and simmering attraction to Lysander au Lune place her at the heart of the post-Sovereignty power struggle. In Dark Age her arc ends violently when a rail-slug bisects her starShell, transforming the once-coltish girl into a martyr whose death fuels the Rim’s war against Darrow’s rising tide.

Description

Pale-faced with short-cropped messy hair, 8-year-old Seraphina has large eyes a third bigger than normal, giving her an intense, otherworldly gaze. Her tender long bones suggest a wild colt's frame, slender and energetic. She wears dirt-stained pants with knees marked from play, gripping a small shovel, her presence feral and unbound. A tall athletic woman of barely twenty with pale skin and short golden hair buzzed close and notched on the right side to reveal her proud neck stands with laconic power. Her face holds full lips often set unsmiling, a slightly hooked nose, and large dull gold eyes that appear sleepy yet flash with lonely fire or incandescent passion beneath thick eyelashes, giving her a distinctly feral and wild aura unlike the polished Aureates of Luna. Subtle curves and powerfully muscled legs show beneath her loose tunic and gray wool cloak fastened by a charcoal sash, practical rubber-soled slippers on her feet and the hidden scar from the brutal Io Institute completing the portrait of a burning one who walks with a storm in her veins. A tall young Gold woman, barely twenty, with a lean, agile, athletic build and long muscled legs. Her hair is buzzed close and notched on the right side; large, sleepy dull Gold eyes framed by thick lashes sit above a slightly hooked nose and full lips. Her expression is often unsmiling and guarded, with a fierce, wild quality, and scars from her travels mark her. She wears a loose Io tunic beneath a gray wool cloak fastened with a charcoal sash, rubber-soled slippers, and two rings: a dragon eating a lightning bolt on her left middle finger and an iron Institute ring bearing House Diana’s stag antlers on her right hand. Seraphina au Raa is lean and shabby, her wiry frame honed by Rim hardships, with long dark hair often tangled from desert winds. A distinctive notched eyebrow marks her sharp, angular face, while her Rim eyes are chromed out, gleaming like steel in the harsh light. She wears drab robes over her starShell suit, accented with Grimmus paint, paired with simple leather boots and a kitari short sword at her hip. Dust clings to her like a second skin, giving her the air of a feral, dusty little mouse—compact, intense, and ever-watchful.
