White appears briefly as a robed figure whose crooked back and bald head mark him out as he hustles forward. At a moment when a customary benediction might be expected, he is unable to give it; beyond this glimpse, the book offers little about his history or relationships.
Description
White is a bald man with a crooked back, seen hurrying forward in robes. His bent posture gives his movement a strained, uneven quality, while the robes form the only described element of his attire. The text does not specify his age, complexion, eyes, or facial features.
