The Ascomanni emerge from the Kuiper Belt as genetically engineered raiders whose very existence is a living indictment of the Society’s forgotten sins. In Dark Age they appear as pale, skull-crowned void predators who fight with blades in zero-G, immune to vacuum and fear alike. By Light Bringer their origin is clarified: they are the deliberate offspring of Carver slaves, bred for cruelty and endurance, turning the edge of the solar system into a crucible of vengeance against the worlds that discarded them.
