Harbinger first appears in Light Bringer as a towering, naked Ascomanni assassin whose shark-helmeted visage and fan boots mark him as an elite operative of the Obsidian tribes. Across the series, he evolves from a shadowy, almost mythic enforcer into a pivotal figure whose brutal efficiency and mysterious allegiance reshape the balance of power among the rising factions. His presence signals the deepening integration of Ascomanni warriors into the wider conflict, transforming what was once peripheral tribal warfare into a decisive element of the solar system’s struggle for freedom.
