The Antechamber first appears in Iron Gold as a richly appointed waiting area outside the main halls of the Sovereign’s palace on Luna, serving as a transitional space where petitioners and dignitaries gather before audiences. Across the series it evolves from a purely ceremonial buffer zone into a politically charged threshold where alliances are tested and betrayals are set in motion. Its ornate décor—tapestries of past triumphs and seating arranged to emphasize hierarchy—becomes a silent witness to the shifting power dynamics of the Republic.
