Helios emerges in Dark Age as a pivotal figure within the Republic's military hierarchy, embodying the tension between institutional authority and the raw, personal stakes of the war against the Society. His presence underscores the saga's shift from individual heroics to the grinding machinery of interstellar conflict, where even high-ranking officials must navigate moral ambiguity and shifting alliances. Across the series, Helios represents the evolving nature of leadership in a fractured solar system, where loyalty is tested not just by battle, but by the ideological fractures within the Republic itself.
