Kobachi's Tech Emporium first appears in Iron Gold as a cramped, black-market storefront in Old Town where Darrow purchases a holocontact to conceal his identity. Despite its humble origins, the shop becomes a recurring nexus for covert operations, serving as a discreet hub for acquiring restricted technology and facilitating clandestine communications. Over the course of the series, the Emporium evolves from a simple vendor stall into a symbol of the underworld's resilience, quietly supporting the resistance's technological needs while remaining under the radar of both the Republic and the Society remnant.
