Luna, the seat of the Society's power and the largest moon of Earth, transforms from a distant, almost mythical capital in the early books into a brutal battleground and finally a fractured political arena. Across the series, it shifts from the untouchable heart of Gold dominion to a contested prize in the Rising's war, reflecting the broader collapse of the old order. By the later books, Luna is no longer a symbol of stability but a scarred world where rival factions vie for control amid the ruins of the old regime.
