Pax, the towering Obsidian warrior and loyal companion to Darrow, emerges in Golden Son as a steadfast protector whose brute strength belies a growing moral compass. Across the Red Rising Saga, Pax evolves from a seemingly simple enforcer into a complex figure whose loyalty is tested by the shifting alliances and brutal realities of the rising rebellion. His journey reflects the broader struggle of the lowColors seeking agency and dignity within a rigid color-coded society.
