The Raa Family Home on Io emerges in Iron Gold as a deceptively modest stone residence perched above sweeping plains and an uncarved mountain, its oxygen-ivy-covered walls serving as the private sanctuary for the ancient Raa clan. Throughout the series, this ancestral compound transforms from a quiet family retreat into a critical nexus of political intrigue, where the Raa family's internal divisions and external alliances play out against the backdrop of the rising Republic's conflicts. The home's strategic location and symbolic significance make it a focal point for both the Raa family's resistance to external control and their eventual reckoning with the consequences of their isolationist stance.
