The Senate Forum emerges in Iron Gold as the physical heart of the Republic’s new democracy, a stark marble chamber whose austere design symbolizes the break from Gold tyranny. Across the series it becomes the stage for the Republic’s most consequential debates, from the vote to invade Mercury to the dramatic censure of the Rising’s own heroes. Its white-and-red porphyry floor witnesses both the triumph of democratic ideals and their slow erosion under the pressures of war and populism.
