Votum Ancestor Park first appears in Dark Age as a tranquil memorial greensward in the Votum province, its statues and lawns serving as a quiet tribute to the ancestral dead. Across the Red Rising Saga the park evolves from a static symbol of remembrance into a charged political and military space, its open lawns and monuments becoming the backdrop for pivotal confrontations that test the ideals of the Society Remnant and the Republic alike. By the later books the park’s serene reputation is deliberately subverted, transforming it into a stage where the living reckon with the legacies of the dead.
