The Julii Sun Emblem—House Julii’s weeping sun pierced by a spear—first appears in Morning Star as a symbol of Victra’s fractured loyalty to the Republic. Over the course of the later books, the crest evolves from a personal banner of defiance into a rallying icon for the broader war effort, eventually marking the Julii fleet’s decisive interventions at key battles. Its fiery orange sun on black becomes a visual shorthand for Victra’s transformation from scorned Gold to indispensable ally of the Rising.
