The KnifeRing begins in Red Rising as a deceptively simple L-shaped metal ring that conceals a lethal blade, its Spartan chevron design masking its true purpose as a hidden weapon. Across the series, it evolves from a personal survival tool into a symbol of rebellion and identity, its Lambda/Lykos origins tying it to Darrow's roots while its deadly function becomes integral to his transformation from Red miner to revolutionary leader.
