The Raa Dragon Armor first appears in Morning Star as the ceremonial battle-plate of Romulus au Raa, its white-ivory surface etched with the ancestral deeds of House Raa. Across the later volumes the armor evolves from a static symbol of Moon Lord authority into a living relic of resistance: it is worn by successive heirs during the Ilium campaign, its engravings updated after each victory, and ultimately becomes the visual standard of the Republic’s alliance with the Rim Dominion. By the final books the armor’s presence on the battlefield signals both the continuity of Raa sovereignty and the uneasy partnership between the Republic and the outer worlds.
