The Standard of House Mars begins as a mere banner of a fallen noble house in the Institute's brutal war games, but evolves into a living symbol of rebellion and unity. Across the series, it transforms from a rallying point for Darrow's ragtag squad into a broader emblem of resistance against the Society's tyranny. Its presence marks pivotal moments of defiance, sacrifice, and the forging of unlikely alliances, ultimately becoming a beacon for the Rising itself.
