The Vanguard emerges in Golden Son as the Solar Republic's premier five-kilometer flagship, a 700-year pinnacle of design boasting railgun banks, blackmatter engines, and iridescent pulseShields. Throughout the series, it transitions from a symbol of Gold naval supremacy to a contested warship whose capture and deployment reshape the balance of power in the Rising. Its evolution mirrors the saga's shift from personal duels to system-wide fleet actions, culminating in its role as both a strategic asset and a psychological emblem of rebellion.
