Amon Byrne
Also known as Captain Byrne
- Minor
- First seen · Book 1 · Ch. 36
Amon Byrne comes into view through the steady authority of his gray eyes and his place among the queen’s guards. There is a quiet watchfulness in the brief impression of him, though the text leaves much of his presence to the imagination.

Amon Byrne is identified as Lila’s father and captain of the queen’s Gray Wolf guard. He asks her to keep an eye on Ash, a request that places his concern for his daughter alongside his responsibilities as a guard captain. The text gives little more of his personal story.
Description
Amon Byrne is described only as having gray eyes; his height, build, coloring, hair, and facial features are not given. No clothing or distinguishing accessories are specified. His role as a guard captain suggests a formal bearing, but the text does not detail his appearance or manner.
