Botetort is a thane whose fascination with dragons quickly turns toward their potential in warfare. Watching one, he grips his sword and rubs his chin as he considers the possibilities, while the dragon trade becomes a subject of interest around him. The text establishes his status and appetite for opportunity, but gives little personal history beyond them.
Description
Botetort is identified as a male thane, richly dressed in clothing whose specific colors and style are not described. The text gives no details of his face, hair, eyes, age, or build. His composed bearing, hand at his sword hilt or chin, suggests a man accustomed to considering what he sees.
