The First Kill

While walking through Ellder after consummating her relationship with Ransom, Odessa is attacked by a feverish, Lyssa-infected man who chokes her while ranting about serving his king. She kills him in self-defense with her dagger.

Outcome

Odessa's first kill marks her transformation from reluctant participant to active survivor, while the man's symptoms reveal that Lyssa can be transmitted to humans through injection, not just monster bites.
