Tommy Molt, known as Tommo, serves as the honorary village handyman of Upshott, appearing only on weekends in his distinctive red knitted cap. Initially seeming like a simple elderly man selling seeds from his bicycle, he later reveals a more complex and potentially antagonistic nature, becoming exhausted while pushing a cart with River Cartwright tied to it.
Description
Tommy Molt is an elderly man with a wrinkled face, bald except for a wreath of silver hair around his ears, wearing a red knitted cap pulled down over his ears, an old tweed jacket, and trousers tied at the ankles, often seen pushing a bicycle with seed packets or a cart.
