Alabet is one of Kaladin’s spearmen, a soldier among men who face danger with little certainty of returning. The text gives no individual portrait, but his place in the squad suggests the weary closeness of those who must depend on one another.

Alabet serves in Kaladin’s squad as a spearman and is among the men who survive an encounter with a Shardbearer, even questioning whether their formidable foe is truly dead. His survival is short-lived: Amaram’s soldiers later kill him. The text supplies no further personal history or relationships.
