Betrayal is a rhythm that Rlain hums and that Venli also takes up. Its presence links their moments through a shared, unsettling cadence, though the text does not give it a person’s identity or a separate narrative arc.
Description
Betrayal is not a character with a body or appearance; it is a rhythm. The text provides no visual form, coloring, clothing, or physical features for it.
