Bisig is a thin bridgeman who holds out longer than the others before joining Bridge Four’s training. Rock’s warm embrace and the small, ordinary kindness of a chunk of soap give him glimpses of human tenderness amid the roughness of bridgeman life. The book offers no larger transformation or personal history beyond these moments.
Description
Bisig is a thin man with an angular face and a slight, wiry build. No skin tone, hair or eye color, or distinctive marks are specified. His clothing is not described in detail; he is seen among the bridgemen in practical circumstances, with a quiet, unassuming presence.
