Known as Cusicesh the Protector, the spren rises from the bay in a vast, translucent column of sea-blue fluid. It forms four long arms that reach down to golden pedestals, while a sequence of human faces flickers across its stumplike neck. Its brief appearance makes it an arresting and enigmatic presence rather than a character with a developed personal arc.
Description
Cusicesh is an enormous, translucent sea-blue spren, rising in a tall, fluid shape like a jet of water. Its body extends into four long arms, and its upper form ends in a stumplike neck where human faces shift rapidly from one to another. The golden pedestals beneath its reaching arms intensify the vivid contrast of blue waterlike light and warm metal. Its immense scale and ceaselessly changing visage give it a strange, ceremonial presence.
