Gibberish is less a person than a strange thought given a name—a figure one can imagine, but never quite picture. The very uncertainty invites a question: what would remain of someone if they were made from feeling alone?

Gibberish, also called Gibletish, is introduced by Wit as a hypothetical construct: a man reassembled from emotions. The book gives him no independent actions, relationships, or personal history; he exists as an imaginative example rather than as a developed character.
Description
Gibberish has no concrete appearance in the text. He is described only as a hypothetical man formed from emotions, with no specified body, face, coloring, hair, eyes, clothing, or distinguishing features.
