Hatham is a highprince whose polished manners conceal a firm instinct for protecting his own position. When Dalinar seeks his support, Hatham turns him down with exceeding politeness, making refusal sound like an elegant social ritual. He remains a restrained but telling presence among the Alethi highprinces, distinguished by the careful refinement of his appearance and conduct.
Description
Hatham is long-necked and slender, with a refined, upright bearing. He wears a ruffled green shirt beneath a robe-like coat, finished with a darker green silk scarf around his neck. Every finger bears a ruby ring, each stone faintly glowing with the Stormlight drained from it. His carefully arranged clothes and courteous composure give him an air of deliberate highborn elegance.
