Jeber is a wounded man treated by Lirin despite Abiajan’s objections, a small act of mercy set against the brutality surrounding him. When he appears again, he is manacled in a cellar, his eye sockets burned out and his face reduced to a haunting mask of pallor and pain. His brief story ends violently, killed by a Shardblade before he can escape the cruelty that has marked him.
Description
Jeber is lean-faced and pale, with a gauntness that makes his features look sharply drawn. His most striking feature is the pair of burned-out eye sockets, dark pits like charcoal in place of eyes. He is shown manacled to a cellar wall and wearing no distinctive adornment; his clothing is not described in detail. His appearance is stark and wounded, marked above all by pallor, hollowness, and the stillness of someone in captivity.
