Malal serves as a Singer soldier in Leshwi’s personal guard. When the guard is drawn into violence against civilians, he hesitates rather than joining in readily. These chapters provide no further account of his history or what follows, leaving that moment of doubt as the defining glimpse of him.
Description
Malal is identified as a Singer soldier in Leshwi’s personal guard, but no physical traits are described. The text does not specify his build, coloring, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, or any distinguishing marks. His only individual visual impression comes from his place among the soldiers; his hesitation is a matter of demeanor rather than appearance.
